Greetings ECF Members, Employees and Spouses,
As your ECF State President along with the State Executive Committee and Staff we would like to express our sincere appreciation for all of your efforts as we try to cope with this pandemic that we are currently experiencing.
We are deeply grateful to our supplier and manufacturer members for all the extra efforts they are making to keep their stores open and safe, while providing us with the materials we need to continue to serve our customers and to keep ourselves and employees safe on the job.
As a licensed contractor I, like many of you, am concerned about getting all of the required classes covered prior to the August 31 st electrical license renewal deadline.
ECF has weathered other events in the past, including ones that forced us to delay classes due to hurricanes. The Electrical Contractors Licensing Board (ECLB) has extended the renewal dates in the past and if need be, I believe they will do the same if this situation continues. Staff is continuing to monitor the State website and will keep us all informed of any extension periods and will be ready to get classes back on track once it is safe to do so.
The State Executive Committee has a conference call scheduled for April 13th and we will continue to provide members with any information that is made available to us by the State.
Thanks, once again, for your patience and loyalty. Stay Safe and God Bless.
2020 ECF State President
