Welcome to the 2016 ECF 2016 Continuing Education Schedule. Classes are being held in several locations this year and members are welcome to attend the classes that best fit their schedule. Attendance at any of the 2 day seminars will meet the requirements set forth by the Electrical Contractors Licensing Board (ECLB) for renewal of your contractor’s license.
There will be 2 one-day Seminars this year. First, ECF has partnered holding once again this year with the Bay Area Electrical Apprenticeship (BAEA) who will be hold their one day program on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at the American Legion Post 104, 7550 60th Street N., Pinellas Park, Fl. Please note that if you plan to attend this program, you will need to complete the registration and return it to Clyde Hady. While members still receive free classes, the BAEA has asked that you make a donation $20.00 to their apprenticeship program. Full details can be found on their flyer or contact Clyde Hady at 727 538-7157, ext 2070 or Hadyc@bcsb.org.
Next, there will be a one day Seminar for the Manasota Chapter on May 20, 2016. This is the second of two days offered to the Manasota Chapter. If you missed the 2015 classes, you can always schedule yourself for any Saturday class offered in any of the other Chapters and still complete all of your 2016 renewal requirements. For those attending the Central Chapter and the Pasco Hernando seminars, the chapters have provided maps to help you find their locations. These maps are on the back page of the flyers. For our North Central and Ocala members, we coordially invite you to attend the Pasco Hernando seminars to be held on June 10th and 11th , 2016 at the New Port Richey location. Last year we held these classes in Crystal River and have decided to combine all three Chapters in our Pasco Hernando program.
For members who choose to attend the Volusia Chapter seminars on June 24 & 25, 2016, we have negotiated a special room rate with the Hampton Inn, New Smyrna Beach. Should you decide to book at the Hampton Inn, please contact them at 386 898-9444 and let them know you are part of the ECF seminars as soon as possible to take advantage of the discounted rates.
Last, but not least, many of our members have taken classes at their chapter meetings throughout this renewal cycle. If you are not sure what classes are still needed, you can visit www.mylicense.com and log into your account. ECF staff will be glad to help you determine any classes that were taken under the ECF provider but we cannot determine if you took classes with other provider groups.
ECF will welcome non members wanting to take the classes this year. The fee for the classes is $20.00 per class hour. Better still, you can join ECF for $200.00 (Note Central Chapter members pay an additional $20.00). Non Members registering for the classes must pay in full prior to attending the classes and staff will be on hand to accept cash, checks or credit cards.
