The North Florida Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association is pleased to announce the following Continuing Education (CE) Courses will be offered on April 27th and April 28th, and again, on July 20th and 21st at the Electrical Training Alliance building located at 4951 Richard Street, Jacksonville, FL 32207:

Workers’ Compensation - Course No. 0801973 (1 hour)
Florida Laws & Rules - Course No. 0801988 (1 hour)
Changes to NFPA 70, NEC 2011 - Course No. 0800302 (4 hours)
NEC Article 100 - Course No. 0801989 (3 hours)
False Alarm Protection - Course No. 0800301 (2 hours)
Grievance Handling - Course No. 0801815 (3 hours)
Workplace Safety - Course No. 0801978 (1 hour)
Major Changes Contained in the 6th Edition FBC (2017) Advanced (859.0) (1 hour)

The 14 hours of Electrical Contractors Licensing Board (ECLB) approved continuing education requirements for

Electrical Contractors are as follows: 7 hours technical; 1 hour Workers’ Compensation; 1 hour Workplace Safety; 1 hour Business Practices; 1 hour Florida Laws and Rules, and a 1 hour Florida Building Code Advanced Module course. Contractors who are work in the alarm system contracting field must also take a two-hour False Alarm

*Friday courses will be held from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and Saturday courses will be held from 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. With the understanding several of our contractors do work in the state of Georgia, certificates from these courses will also satisfy Georgia’s 4 hour continuing education requirement.

Fees: NECA members: $0 Non-member: $20 per class hour or $250 for full registration. Lunch will be provided for all participants.
