The State Electrical Council of Florida in partnership with the Citrus County Builders Association is pleased to announce the following Continuing Education (CE) Courses to be offered on March 23 & 24, 2012:
The Electrical Contractors Licensing Board (ECLB) Continuing Education requirements for Electrical Contractors for the renewal period
September 1, 2010 - August 31, 2012, are as follows:
14 hours of ECLB approved continuing education:
Seven hours must be on technical subjects;
One hour on workers’ compensation;
One hour on workplace safety;
One hour on business practices;
and a One hour approved advanced building structural course.
Contractors who are engaged in alarm system contracting must also take a two hour False Alarm Prevention course*.
The Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB)
requires 14 hours that includes:
One hour of workplace safety;
One hour workers’ compensation;
One hour business practices;
One hour advanced building code;
and One hour Laws & Rules.
Additionally, General, Building Residential, Roofing, Speciality Structure and Glass and Glazing Contractors must complete one hour of Wind Mitigation Methodology.
