The State Electrical Council of Florida in partnership with the Ridge Chapter and Rexel Consolidated Electric (Corporate Member) are pleased to announce the following Continuing Education (CE) Courses to be offered on March 16 & 17, 2012:

The Electrical Contractors Licensing Board (ECLB) Continuing Education requirements for Electrical Contractors for the renewal period September 1, 2010 - August 31, 2012, are as follows:

14 hours of ECLB approved continuing education:

Seven hours must be on technical subjects;

One hour on workers’ compensation;

One hour on workplace safety;

One hour on business practices;

and a One hour approved advanced building structural course.

Contractors who are engaged in alarm system contracting must also take a two hour False Alarm Prevention course*.
