Federated Insurance® Acquires High Definition Vehicle Insurance (HDVI)
On August 1, 2026, Federated Insurance acquired High Definition Vehicle Insurance (HDVI), a commercial trucking insurance company that provides property and liability coverage to trucking fleets and drivers across 26 states. HDVI is a technology leader in the insurance industry and uses advanced telematics solutions and data analytics to help businesses perform safely and efficiently. HDVI will operate as a separate, largely autonomous subsidiary company of Federated Insurance. HDVI employees will remain on staff, and their products will continue to be marketed through existing agency partners.
This acquisition reflects Federated’s continued focus on long-term financial strength and delivering meaningful value to the businesses and association partners it serves.
